Happy Left-Handers Day!

If you’re right handed, you’ll never truly know the trauma of being left-handed. It can be just so troublesome when the world is set up for right handed people. You may struggle to use scissors, your ink smudges when you write and using a can opener can be nigh on impossible. Then there are the awkward moments when you go to hug someone or kiss them on the cheek, but you both go the same way and you end up bumping noses in the middle. But it’s not some sort of illness or condition so you don’t get any sympathy from anyone other than perhaps your fellow lefties. So you struggle along without complaint, in a world that’s just not quite right for you, or should that be left for you?

But you do have one consolation…

Only around 13% of people are left-handed. So that makes you pretty special. So special in fact that you have your own day – Left Handers Day, celebrated every year on August 13^th. It’s a day to embrace your left-handedness, it’s also the perfect time to tell everyone just how annoying it can be to be a left-hander and share your leftie pride or woes on social media.
