We love General Lee

Number Plates

If you’re old enough to remember the early 80s then you’re bound to have fond memories of General Lee, the car from the classic American series Dukes of Hazzard driven by Bo and Luke Duke in many a crazy escapade. The customized 1969 Dodge Charger stock car was driven pretty crazily in their attempts to evade Boss Hogg. The highlight of the show was often a huge leap in General Lee over traffic, across a river or some other death defying feat, so it’ll be no surprise to learn that around 300 General Lees were used in the filming of the series. In 2012, the only car to survive the series filming was put up for auction and raised £70,000. This particular car was especially sought after as it was used in the filming of the iconic title sequence.

If you too are a fan of the General Lee, how about picking up a LEE plate? We’ve got plenty to choose from. At the lower end of the market there’s AC02 LEE or YJ03 LEE for just £594 or if you really want to impress how about LEE 50 for £16,000 or perhaps 67 LEE for £8300?
