UFC 221 – It’s all changed… Rockhold Vs Romero

Luke Rockhold was all set to go up against reigning middleweight champion Robert Whittaker but Whittaker has had to withdraw from the fight due to an injury. Rockhold is now set to fight Yoel Romero and he’s not too happy about the change. Rockhold really had his heart set on fighting Whittaker and taking the title from him. He’d been looking forward to fighting Whittaker for a long time, seeing it as a good challenge for him. He now feels he’s going across the world to fight a guy he could fight down the street.

But, he also acknowledges that no one beats Yoel, unless you’re a champion. Rockhold believes he’s the champion to do that. But will he? It’s going to be an interesting one to watch.

Stay up late to watch the fight

As this fight is broadcast live from Australia, you’ve got quite a time difference to contend with! The prelim coverage starts at 1am on Sunday 11th February, with the main card starting at 3am.
