We Flipping Love Pancake Day!

As you may have noticed, we love to grasp any opportunity to eat and drink here in the Speedy Reg offices. National Beer Day is always fun, and Pizza Day is definitely one of my personal favourites. While some of these national days may be a little obscure, we feel it’s our duty to help spread the word. I mean, the world is obviously going to be a better place when more people get together to eat pizza right? Of course, everyone knows about Shrove Tuesday or pancake day, and everyone has their favourite topping. What’s yours? Just some syrup; or lemon juice and sugar or something more exotic? Perhaps you love a savoury pancake with spinach and goats cheese, or fill yours with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Pancakes are so versatile, you can have a three course pancake dinner!

It’s funny how all these special food eating days all seem to be rather on the unhealthy side. We may have to invent National SpeedyReg Veg Day soon if our waistlines keep expanding! But we don’t need to think about that right now as it’s Pancake Day and there’s surely some sort of law that says we actually have to eat pancakes today whether we like it or not.

So get your frying pan out and get flipping! Pancakes are so quick and easy to make, not to mention loads of fun. It’s a great way to get kids in the kitchen and learning to cook. Teach your children some cooking skills when they’re young and it’s an ability they can use all their life. You’ll be glad you did when they go off to university and you don’t have to worry that they’re living on Pot Noodles!
