If you’re watching the Kirkistown Races at the Kirkistown Circuit in County Down, do keep an eye out for the Ford Fiesta we sponsor. You can’t miss it, it’s blue and yellow, the Speedy Reg colours. We think it looks great!

July saw driver Neville Anderson have his first race at Kirkistown, the Fiestas & Mazda MX5 Race 1 and he performed brilliantly, he certainly did us proud. He’ll be back for the August meeting and we’ll be watching with great anticipation.

Kirkistown – a unique circuit

You may not even have heard of Kirkistown Circuit, but it’s the flattest and fastest course in the province and is always the site of some thrilling racing action. Located between the villages of Kirkistown and Portavogie, it’s a former RAF airfield, converted into a racing circuit in 1953 and owned by the Five Hundred Motor Racing Club of Ireland. It’s the only club-owned and operated circuit in the whole of Great Britain. The circuit plays host to rallying, karting, rallycross, motorcycle and supermoto races, as well as running and cycling. Many top Formula One drivers began their careers at this humble circuit including Eddie Jordan and Eddie Ervine.

Good Luck Neville Anderson

We’d like to wish driver Neville Anderson all the very best of luck for the upcoming races, just don’t scratch that beautiful Speedy Reg paintwork please!
