It’s Donald Trump’s Birthday – Did you know?

Now I do love my birthday. It’s a special day where I can be a little bit selfish. Everyone has to be nice to me and I’m certainly not going to make the coffee in the office. It’s a day for eating cakes for breakfast without a shred of guilt. I like everyone to know it’s my birthday, so I do drop a few reminders in the upcoming days. But Donald Trump has taken this to the extreme. He’s spent around half a million dollars advertising his own birthday on Facebook! Several of the advertisements have asked for people to sign a birthday card for him. Poor Donald mustn’t have a lot of real friends. I get plenty of cards and I certainly don’t advertise for them, but then I’m not a president hoping to get re-elected.

Love him or hate him, Donald Trump is certainly what us Brits would politely call ‘a character’ with his mop of hair, orange face and inane grin. While he may come across as a bit of a buffoon, Trump certainly has a head for business. By the age of 27 he owned 14,000 apartments. He’s also turned his hand to other things, such as acting. For his role in Ghosts Can’t Do It, he won an award, an award for the Worst Supporting Actor that is!
