Suits Season 8 on Netflix – It’s here!

Suits returns to Netflix UK on July 19th, just one day after the series launches in the US. Remember the final episode of season 7? The wedding of Rachel Zane and Mike Ross. Of course due to another wedding, Rachel Zane played by Meghan Markle will not be making a reappearance in season 8, nor will her on-screen hubby played by Patrick J Adams.

This season also sees Gina Torres leave the show, however don’t be too disappointed as instead you can watch her in a Suits spin-off series called Second City, set in Chicago, so look out for that! This season you’ll be seeing more of Dule Hill and Amanda Schull, and Katherine Heigl has also joined the show.

Did you know? Suits Facts…

  • The series didn’t always have the snappy name Suits, it was originally called A Legal Mind.
  • Despite the series being set in New York City, only the pilot was actually filmed there. The other episodes have all been filmed in Toronto.
  • In real life Jacinda Barrett who plays Zoe Lawford is married to Gabriel Macht who plays Harvey Specter.
  • The character Jessica, played by Gina Torres was originally going to be a man, but it was later changed to a female character.
  • Louis Litt often talks to Norma his assistant, but you never actually see her character. This was inspired by agent Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks.
  • There are many references to Game of Thrones throughout the show. Can you spot them?
  • Like the cityscape view from the office windows? Well you could easily have those views too as they’re not real views but are actually curtains with the image of the view printed on them!
  • The model motorbike in Harvey’s office is a replica of the one that Lawrence of Arabia was riding when he was killed.
