Step into a Winter Wonderland at Belfast Christmas Market

There’s something truly magical about a Christmas market, and Belfast’s is no exception. It’s a fabulous festive day out for all the family. You can enjoy a tasty treat, and find some unique Christmas gifts too.

The market opens on November 18th and runs until December 23rd so you’ve got plenty of time to visit. It’s open from 10am – 8pm from Monday to Wednesday, 10am – 10pm Thursday to Sunday and 12 noon until 6pm on Sundays.

So take a trip to Belfast City Hall grounds and Donegall Square North to visit the traders in their magical wooden chalets. There’s so much to see, from edible gifts, to arts and crafts, and some gorgeous decorations to add that finishing touch to your Yuletide decorations.

You can even visit Santa in his grotto, and if you drop a letter in Santa’s post box, he’ll send one back to you!

This is the 13th Belfast Christmas Market and it’s set to be the best one yet. When you visit the market you take a Christmas trip around Europe without ever leaving Belfast. You can try Belgian chocolates, Dutch galettes, German bratwurst, or if you’re in the mood for something a little more exotic, you could even try alligator! If you’ve already done your Christmas shopping, a visit to the Dutch Bulb and Plant Garden is a must, to look ahead to spring and get some fabulous items for the garden.

Of course all that shopping can make you thirsty, so a visit to Lavery’s Irish Bar for some liquid refreshment while you enjoy the live music makes for a great pit stop!

So do take time to visit, it’ll certainly get you into the Christmas spirit!
