The Balmoral Show – A Great Day Out

A visit to the Balmoral Show is a must for all the family. There is so much to see and do! The gates open at at 9.30am this Wednesday and it is open from 9.30 until 6pm on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. If you choose to visit on Thursday you’ll have even longer to explore as it closes at 8pm on that day.

The Balmoral Show is the biggest agricultural show in Ireland. You’ll get to see a huge selection of award winning farm animals and there’s a children’s farm too where they can get up close to the animals. It a great educational day out for the kids. There’s also a milking demonstration that is well worth a watch.

It’s not all about the animals though. There’s a thrilling motorcycle demonstration and if you start to feel hungry, there are fifty chefs cooking up delights! The NI Food Pavilion showcases over 100 local producers. It’s always fun to take a stroll through the pavilion and pick up a tasty sample or two on the way!

This year there’s a new Health and Fitness Village. If you love the great outdoors and exercise then this will be perfect for you. Or perhaps you’ll enjoy the Eikon Shopping Village more? There really is something for everyone at The Balmoral Show. While you’re strolling around the show you’ll also be entertained by some fantastic local live acts on the Downtown Radio stage.

You’ll turn heads when you arrive at the show with one of those plates! So if you have some spare time this week, do visit the show. Once you’ve paid for your admission, all the exhibits and demonstrations are free. There’s such a lot going on, you might even want to go again the next day!
