World Cancer Day – You Can Help To Beat Cancer

Cancer is one of the world’s biggest killers. We all know someone who has been affected by cancer. The good news is that with our support, and the amazing work done by Cancer Research UK, cancer survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years.

Every donation, no matter how small really makes a difference in the fight against cancer. February 4th is World Cancer Day. Why not do your bit to help and join in?

This years World Cancer Day is all about Unity. It’s about getting together to combat cancer and you can help in several ways.

One very easy way to contribute is to buy a Unity Band. These are bracelets that show your support. They’re actually pretty stylish too. Here at Speedy Reg we’re all proudly sporting our Unity Bands. You can buy these in the shops or you can order yours from the website. A suggested donation of £2 is asked for, so this is a great way for you to join the campaign. Every little helps. There are special bracelets for children too so the whole family can join in. You can find your nearest stockist of Unity Bracelets at this link http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/support-us/donate/world-cancer-day/find-a-shop

You could also offer to volunteer, handing out Unity Bracelets in your local area. Even if you can only spare an hour of your time, it will be much appreciated. Anyone 16 or over can become a World Cancer Day volunteer.

Another great idea that will be a lot of fun too is to host a quiz. Simply get your friends and family together and ask them for a donation to this great cause as an entry fee. You won’t even have to wrack your brain to come up with the questions. Simply sign up as a quiz host on the Cancer Research UK website and they will send you everything you need. If you’ve always fancied being a Quiz Master, now is your chance, and you’ll be raising money for a good cause too.

Or you could simply make a donation. If you don’t have a lot of time to spare, then this is the easiest option to make a difference in the fight against cancer. You can make a donation easily via the Cancer Research UK website. It only take a couple of minutes and you can donate any amount you like. Every penny really does help.
