Could UFC 236 be the Most Exciting UFC Card of 2019?

If you only watch one UFC card this year, then this might well be the one to watch. UFC 236 will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. What’s particularly thrilling about this card is that there is not one but two interim title fights.

The headline fight sees Max Holloway up against Dustin Poirier for the interim lightweight championship. Holloway is the current featherweight champion and this fight sees him moving up a class. This will be the first time the two have fought each other since 2012 when Holloway made his UFC debut.

The second interim title fight is Israel Adesanya vs. Kelvin Gastelum in a battle for the interim middleweight title. Adesanya is as yet undefeated so this is definitely going to be edge of your seat viewing! The current middleweight champion is Robert Whittaker, but he is recovering from hernia and bowel surgery and so the winner of this fight will likely be up against Whittaker when he is fully recovered and back in the game.
