A Record Breaking 46 goals bring Liverpool to the Champions League Final

The Reds have done incredibly well in the Champions League, scoring themselves a well deserved place in the final against Real Madrid. With 46 goals on their way, they’ve also grabbed a Champions League record.

The two teams are set to battle it out on May 26th in Kiev’s Olimpiyskiy Stadium, which was also used for the final of Euro 2012. Kicking off at 7.45pm, you can watch the action on BBC Sport from around 6.30pm.

This is the first time since 1981 that Liverpool and Real Madrid have competed in the final. Back then, Alan Kennedy scored the winning goal that brought victory to The Reds. Will history repeat itself this time?

Liverpool have won the Champions League Trophy 6 times before, and defending champions Real have won 12 times previously, no team has ever won the title more times than this. If they win this one, it’ll be three in a row for them.
