Emma Watson turns 28 on April 15th. Doesn’t time fly? It doesn’t seem so long since she was a little girl playing Hermione Granger in Harry Potter, but it’s actually 17 years ago! She rose to fame in Harry Potter, but she’s since worked on many other films including Noah and Beauty and the Beast. She’s also worked as a model and was the youngest person to ever appear on the cover of Teenage Vogue. She’s a keen feminist and works hard to promote women’s issues around the world. She’s certainly a wonderful role model for young girls.

Emma Watson – The Curious Facts…

  • When Emma was 12, she had a crush on Tom Felton, better known as the rather wicked Draco Malfoy! Apparently she thought he was cool because he had a skateboard!
  • Her favourite Harry Potter book is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
  • She wasn’t allowed to get her ears pierced until she was 15.
  • Emma loves cats.
  • Both her parents are lawyers.
  • She is a certified yoga and meditation instructor.
  • She writes in her diary every night.
  • Emma once scaled a 7ft fence to break into a hotel pool at 3 in the morning!
  • In the film Ballet Shoes, Emma plays the character Pauline. The young version of Emma was actually played by her twin half sisters Nina and Lucy.
