We have to agree, that is an awesome plate, but phew, that’s a lot of money to pay for it! 90 plates were auctioned off raising a total of £16.3 million, the proceeds of the auction are going to a good cause too, a rehabilitation centre for victims of traffic accidents. Previously the most expensive plate sold was the single digit ‘5’ which went for £3.4 million to an Emirati stockbroker, so this new sale has more than doubled that record! If you want to be Number One but don’t have a spare 7 million burning a hole in your pocket, we’ve got plenty of somewhat cheaper options for you… How about JJI 1 for £18,000 or 1 GO for £150,500?
