It’s the Final Countdown

The final countdown has begun for Michael Phelps who will be hoping to end his swimming career on a golden high.

The most decorated Olympian of all time currently has twenty Olympic medals to his name but will be hoping to earn another two in his last two Olympic events.

Phelps will swim the 100-meter butterfly tonight and the 400-meter medley relay on Saturday. If he wins the 100 fly, and if the U.S. wins the medley relay, Phelps would retire with 22 medals, 18 of them gold.

It has been a slow start to the Olympics for the US swimming star, but he will surely be ending his career on a high, and we think he should treat himself to yes you guessed it a personalised number plate! And not to tempt fate this number is to celebrate his 20 medal win, although we will be hoping for 22!
