Cherished registrations for James A

2013 X Factor winner James Arthur has came under huge criticism in the press this week for using homophobic lyrics during one of his performances recently and following this was involved in a twitter confrontation with fellow X Factor graduate Lucy Spraggan, who challenged his behaviour. The two artists were involved in a row via text message, which Spraggan then publicised on Twitter to show the public Arthur’s attitude and opinion towards the LGBT community.

There is now an online petition to drop James Arthur from this weekend’s celebrity line up on the X Factor, which after receiving 6,000 signatures is now gathering substantial pace. ITV have released a statement  and have backed their decision to keep James Arthur on their books for this weekend.

Both ITV and the producers of The X Factor would like to make it clear that in no way do we support, condone or share any form of homophobia or discrimination,’ reads an official statement from the channel.

A number of dismayed fans have also asked ‘I-Tunes’ to refund them for their purchase of James Arthur’s album, which the online music store have agreed to do.

James Arthur himself may not be in the mood for purchasing a personalised registration right now from Speedy Reg but if your name is James A now is the opportunity to get your hands on JAM 355A.
