Mercedes-AMG GmbH, commonly known as AMG, is a subsidiary of the Mercedes-Benz car company specialising in high-performance luxury cars. AMG models are typically the most expensive and highest-performance of each Mercedes series.
Mercedes has always had a bit of problem with motorcycle. In the past, publicity photos that showed bikes would have used BMW machines with a taped on badge, however now it has its own powered two wheelers to play with thanks to a marketing link up with Ducati.
For the next MotoGP season the blood-red machines from Bologna will drop their fiat sponsorship and carry AMG logos. Mercedes vans will replace Fiat and Ivecos as the teams transport.
Nicky Hayden, aka “The Kentucky Kid” introduced this curious sponsorship deal at the LA Motor Show.
