Owners of the super-mini scored it 98.1 out of 100 for reliability.
South Korean firm Kia is the only car firm offering a seven-year warranty on new motors in the UK. Many KIA car owners are showing their support for their reliability by buying KIA number plates for their vehicle, an example of a KIA would be KIA 1123.
Japanese brands took SEVEN of the top ten places in Which? Car magazine’s 2010 reliability poll.
Toyota – despite this year’s recall nightmare – Mazda and Honda each had two models featured.
But the findings were disappointing for Land Rover, whose Discovery 3 model was bottom of the survey while its Range Sport was fifth bottom.
Which? boss Peter Vicary-Smith said some small cars “run like clockwork” while many larger motors “aren’t all they’re cracked up to be”.
The 26,000 new owners polled scored their cars on breakdowns, faults and niggles.
