Lying on a Licence Plate

A reminder to everybody: don’t lie on your number plate.

We’re not talking about having “SXY”, “HOT”, or “CO01” on your car when you’re anything but, but misrepresentation of a different kind: altered characters.

Some unscrupulous license plate suppliers will allow people to purchase plates where ‘2’s look like ‘R’s, ‘V’s look like ‘U’s or ‘T’s look like ‘J’s. These can lead to trouble with the law for not only the supplier, but whoever bought the plates.

So, be careful, and be sure to only buy your number plates from a trustworthy supplier like Speedy Reg.
