Now in its fifth year, this\nshow just gets better and better. Show tickets also get you access to the whole\nmuseum so it\u2019s a great value day out. The show is held within the fort grounds\non the Newhaven seafront, making it a spectacular setting. Enjoy the show, then\nexplore the ramparts and hidden tunnels. Don\u2019t forget to stop for lunch at the\n1940s themed tea room too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Small yet somehow perfect <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a small show to be sure, with around 100 cars on\ndisplay, yet the atmosphere is just amazing. It\u2019s certainly a place to make new\nfriends and everyone is so helpful and happy to share their stories, tips and\nadvice. Classics United first ran the show in the fort four year ago, and it\u2019s\nstill going strong, run by the very able Jack Steedman. Each year brings more\nvisitors and the event goes from strength to strength. You really feel part of\nsomething when you bring your classic or retro vehicle along. A strong club\npresence is also guaranteed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pre-booking now sold out <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pre-booking has sold out for this year but you can still get\nyour tickets on the door. The event is held on Sunday October 6<sup>th<\/sup>\nand tickets are available on the gate between 10am and 11am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Fort and Beyond<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re planning on visiting Classics United, you could\nstay a little longer and explore Newhaven itself. There are two marinas to\nvisit, a wealth of unique shops, restaurants and bars and you can even take a\nferry over to Dieppe. Imagine posting on Facebook that you\u2019re having dinner in\nFrance! The ferry crosses three times a day, so it\u2019s easy to nip over for a day\ntrip or an overnight break. With attractions such as the Planet Earth Museum\nand Dinosaur Safari, it\u2019s a great family friendly destination for a mini-break,\nand one that\u2019s often overlooked. At this time of year you\u2019ll avoid the crowds\ntoo, perfect for long walks along the beach.
