Speedyreg’s Sponsor wins the British Historic Rally 2019<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We are so excited to tell you that the Speedy Reg<\/a> sponsored driver Simon Webster, along with co-driver Jez Rogers has won the 2019 British Historic Rally Championships! It\u2019s certainly a well deserved win and we are thrilled that it was the Ford Escort with the Speedy Reg<\/a> logo on that sped over the finish line with the fastest time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the race there were several contenders for the title\nso it was certainly rather tense, and Simon \nadmits to some nerves during the final stage. With rally driving\nanything can happen, so he was incredibly relieved to get to the finish line in\nFiley without any last minute slip up or mechanical problem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The race started with an 11 mile run in the darkness of\nDalby forest in the North Yorkshire Moors on Friday night. After a wet start to\nSaturday morning, the course started to dry for the race through Langdale and\nStaindale. A chicane in Langdale saw Bob Bean and Malcolm Smithson roll their\nLotus Cortina, and it was worrying for a moment as Bean struggled to get out of\nthe vehicle, but luckily he was not hurt. The race then moved on to the 14 mile\nstretch taking in Cropton and Gale Rig before the run to the finish in the\nseaside town of Filey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simon Webster\u2019s biggest rivals in this competition have been\nStanley Orr and Grahame Henderson but they have taken the defeat well with Orr\ncommenting\u2026 \u201cSimon\u2019s a gentleman and he\u2019s a very worthy champion\u201d We have to\nagree, we\u2019ve known Simon for many years now and as well as being a highly\ntalented rally driver, he\u2019s also a great guy and we\u2019re very proud for our\nbusiness to be associated with him and his team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
