This change\nwill certainly have an impact on many London bus and coach drivers as the zone\nnow includes many major attractions and Heathrow airport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The LEZ, ULEZ and congestion charge schemes have been\nimplemented in an effort to lower pollution levels in the city. Each fee is\npayable separately so it can really add up for anyone who visits central London\non a regular basis. The LEZ scheme encompasses most of Greater London including\nsome lengths of the M4 and M1, the ULEZ scheme extends further, and by October\nnext year will include everything within the M25 ring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system all runs automatically via Automatic Number Plate\nrecognition, when you\u2019re entering a LEZ or ULEZ zone you\u2019ll see roadside signs\nindicating entry. The charge is payable whenever you enter the area on a daily\nbasis and unlike the congestion charge runs 24 hours a day 365 days a\nyear.&nbsp; It\u2019s also worth bearing in mind\nthat the fees are payable from midnight to midnight, so if you\u2019re driving in\nthe area from say 11pm until 2am, you\u2019ll be liable for two charges as you were\nthere on two days. The fees currently are either \u00a3100 or \u00a3200 depending on your\nvehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those vehicles that are already within the zone, the fee\nwill be applied when the vehicle leaves the depot. If the vehicle remains\nstationary for the entire day then no fee is charged. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system has already had a big impact on businesses with\nmany having to foot large bills to either replace their vehicles with low\nemission models or have expensive alterations made to their vehicles to make\nthem compliant. The trade in used coaches has taken a down turn too as\npurchasing them is simply not viable when you take into account the \u00a3100 a day\ncharge just to leave the depot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LEZ may be the solution for lower pollution, but it\u2019s\ncertainly very controversial and it doesn\u2019t have&nbsp; many fans within the coach and bus\nindustries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For less than the price of 2 days LEZ fees, you could have a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.speedyreg.co.uk\/search\/LEZ\">LEZ number plate<\/a>. We probably won\u2019t sell that many to big fans of the LEZ scheme, but we do sell plenty of these plates to people called Lesley! We\u2019ve got <a href=\"https:\/\/www.speedyreg.co.uk\/number-plates-info\/BE61-LEZ\">BE61 LEZ<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.speedyreg.co.uk\/number-plates-info\/AE02-LEZ\">AE02 LEZ<\/a> available for under \u00a3200.
