US Open Tennis Begins – Speedy Reg<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The US Open has been through some changes over the years,\nbut it\u2019s been around in one form or another since 1881 making it one of the\noldest tennis championships in the world and it draws millions of viewers from\nall over the globe. This, the 139th<\/sup> edition of the tournament begins\non August 26th<\/sup> and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National\nTennis Centre in Flushing Meadows, New York City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first round we\u2019ll see some awesome action with Maria\nSharapova going up against Serena Williams. This will be the first time they\u2019ve\never played each other in the US Open. Outside of the Open they\u2019ve competed\nregularly though, and out of the 22 matches they\u2019ve played together, Serena\nWilliams has won 19 of them. The first round also sees Rafael Nadal play John\nMillman and defending champion Novak Djokovic play Roberto Carballes Baena. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
