IG 1 went\nunder the hammer and sold for \u00a3222,000 making it the most expensive Irish plate\never to be sold and the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> most expensive plate to be sold at a\nDVLA auction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Des has his say <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our director Des always has something to say and he gave the\nfollowing comment about this impressive news\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is a fitting tribute to the Irish Registration scene\nthat the DVLA chose an Irish Number Plate for their most iconic plate for their\n30th Anniversary Sale. They have come a long way since the first DVLNI Auction\nin Wilsons in 1996, having matured very nicely over the last 30 years and are\nnow seen as a sound and highly lucrative investment opportunity.&nbsp; Prices of Irish registrations in Auction\ncontinue with a massive steep upwards price trajectory.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Personalised number plates are a great investment <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s amazing how much some number plates increase in value.\nThey make a brilliant investment as they do retain their value and may well go\nup in value. They\u2019re a safe bet for those wary of the stock market or anyone\nwho doesn\u2019t want to risk share prices plummeting. Within the last two weeks,&nbsp; AJ 1 was sold by Wilsons Auctions Northern Ireland for \u00a3243,000 Hammer purchased by a private client, and last night DS 1 was sold by Brightwells Auctions in Worcestershire for \u00a3250,000<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You don\u2019t need to be Irish to invest in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.speedyreg.co.uk\/cheap-irish-plates\">Irish plates<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re interested in an Irish plate but don\u2019t live in Northern Ireland, you\u2019ll be pleased to know that all NI plates are perfectly legal to be used on any vehicle in the UK.
