The Austrian GP has been in and\nout of the Formula 1 calendar, returning in 2014 after an eleven year break.\nThe race revival was the idea of Red Bull who had bought the Austrian A1-Ring\ncircuit, and named it after themselves.&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The race has a total distance of 306.452 km, with 71 laps of\nthe 4.318 km circuit. The current lap record is held by Kimi Raikkonen who\nachieved a lap of 1:06.957 in 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Austrian Grand Prix Facts <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The only Austrian to ever with the Austrian\nGrand Prix was Niki Lauda in 1984, he then went on to win the World\nChampionship. <\/li><li>David Coulthard takes the record for the most\npodium finishes at this circuit.<\/li><li>In 1987 Stefan Johansson hit a deer on the\ntrack. Luckily he wasn\u2019t seriously injured and went on to finish the race in 7<sup>th<\/sup>\nplace.<\/li><li>Alain Prost is the only driver to win the\nAustrian Grand Prix three times. <\/li><li>The last Grand Prix to include a female driver was\nthe Austrian Grand Prix in 1976. Lella Lombardi finished 12<sup>th<\/sup>. <\/li><li>In 1975, Vittorio Brambillo won the race. He was\nso excited, punching the air, he lost control and crashed into a wall.<\/li><li>The Red Bull Ring has the fastest lap time but\nis only the fourth shortest circuit overall. Brazil, Mexico and Monaco are all\nshorter. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Last year\u2019s podium <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1<sup>st<\/sup> \u2013 Max Verstappen for Red Bull <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2<sup>nd<\/sup> \u2013 Kimi Raikkonen for Ferrari<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3<sup>rd<\/sup> \u2013 Sebastian Vettel for Ferrari <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TV Coverage and Times<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Practice \u2013 Friday 28<sup>th<\/sup> &amp; Saturday 29<sup>th<\/sup>\nJune <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Start times are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Practice 1 \u2013 10:00 on Friday<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Practice 2 \u2013 2:00pm on Friday<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Practice 3 \u2013 11:00am on Saturday<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All three practice session will be broadcast live on Sky\nSports F1 with coverage starting around 15 minutes before start time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifying \u2013 Saturday 29<sup>th<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qualifying starts at 2:00pm and will be broadcast live on\nSky Sports F1 from 1:00pm. Channel 4 will be showing highlights later in the\nday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Race Day \u2013 Sunday 30<sup>th<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Race Day coverage starts at 12:30pm on Sky Sports F1. Pit Lane\nLive begins at 1:10pm and the race starts at 2:10pm. Again you can see\nhighlights after the race on Channel 4. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Love Motor Racing?
