There really is no excuse for not paying your tax and your\ncar will be clamped and impounded, regardless of the vehicle you\u2019re driving. In\nthe tax year 18\/19 133,000 vehicles were clamped and impounded for being untaxed.\nOut of this, nearly 350 were prestige cars, with Porsches making up a massive\n199 of these! Here\u2019s the rest of the list\u2026 Abarth \u2013 28, Maserati \u2013 23, Bentley\n\u2013 20, Cadillac \u2013 19, Tesla \u2013 10, Triumph \u2013 10, Aston Martin \u2013 8, Rolls-Royce \u2013\n8, Ferrari \u2013 7, Lotus \u2013 4, TVR \u2013 3, Hummer \u2013 1, Lincoln \u2013 1, McLaren \u2013 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But of course it isn\u2019t just Porsche and Bentley drivers that\nend up clamped, and it\u2019s no surprise that those vehicles most commonly\nimpounded for being untaxed are those that there are a lot of on the roads with\nFord Focus and Vauxhall Astra taking the top spots with 6000 incidents for each\nmodel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, there were 73 London Taxis clamped, as well as\n5 Harley-Davidsons, 4 motorhomes and an Iris Bus. It just goes to show, you\ncan\u2019t get away with not taxing your vehicle no matter what you drive! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

32,588 of the vehicles clamped were silver in colour. 25,329\nwere black, 25,026 were blue and 16.663 were white. Now of course this doesn\u2019t\nnecessarily mean that silver car drivers are more irresponsible, there are a\nlot of silver cars on the road, and black ones, but blue is rather perplexing!\nSurely there are more red cars on the road than blue, but only 11,126 red cars\nwere clamped for being untaxed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every car on the roads needs to be taxed so make sure your tax is always up to date. Forgetting to tax your car may be an honest mistake, but that won\u2019t wash with the DVLA<\/a>. Your car will be clamped and impounded if it\u2019s found to be untaxed and you\u2019ll certainly have a large fine to pay to get your car back, as well as the inconvenience.
