Today boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr turns 42. His career choice\nwill have come as no surprise with three professional boxers in the family\nalready; his father, Floyd Mayweather Senior, and two of his uncles. He had a\ndifficult childhood, his father spent time in prison on drugs charges and his\nmother had problems with addiction. Money was scarce and it was this that\nspurred Floyd on to make something of his life, to earn some money and not live\nin poverty. Partly due to the influence of his father, he got into boxing at a\nyoung age. When he won a junior boxing tournament at the age of 10 he slept\nwith his trophy for two weeks! Floyd was also influenced by Mike Tyson with\nwhom he trained. He saw Tyson wearing diamond watches and driving a Rolls Royce\nand this was further motivation to Mayweather as to just what he could achieve\nthrough boxing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has his dad to thank for his nickname Pretty Boy. While\nmost boxers suffer from broken noses and other facial damage, Floyd Mayweather\nSenior taught his son good defensive techniques and so his face has remained\nfairly undamaged, earning him his nickname. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His life has been full of ups and downs, but he\u2019s certainly succeeded in his goals. He\u2019s one of the highest paid athletes in the USA and he\u2019s also an Olympic bronze medal winner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve got plenty of great plates that would be a real hit with Floyd. If he\u2019d like a plate with his initials on, then he\u2019s spoilt for choice. While I\u2019m sure Floyd doesn\u2019t really need to worry about the cost of his private plates, if you fancy any of these, then they\u2019re a great price at under \u00a3600 each. We\u2019ve also got 222 FM<\/a> available which is a lovely plate for Floyd too. But, despite these being fab plates for him, we\u2019ve got a really fantastic one which would perhaps be even more appealing and that\u2019s 80 XER<\/a>, surely a boxer is going to snap that one up!
