It\u2019s the perfect night of the year to get the popcorn at the\nready, crack open a bottle of something sparkling and sit back to enjoy the\nextravaganza that is the Oscars! You\u2019ll be able to watch the entire evening on\nthe TV with coverage starting at 10pm on Sky Cinema Oscars so you can watch the\nred carpet arrivals and get a glimpse of those celeb outfits. Then you can\nswitch over to Sky1 at midnight for Oscars 2019: Red Carpet Live <\/em>hosted\nby Alex Zane. Then it\u2019s back to Sky Cinema Oscars or Now TV to watch the main\nevent from 1am right through to 4am. \nIt\u2019s going to be spectacular from the start with Queen opening the\nceremony with a live performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So what are the top picks for a 2019 Oscar?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well there are two dramas with 10 nominations each and those\nare Roma<\/em>, the Netflix drama set in 1970s Mexico, and The Favourite<\/em>,\nanother period drama about Queen Anne. Then there is Vice<\/em> and A Star\nis Born<\/em>, both with 8 nominations each. \nInterestingly, Black Panther<\/em> has been nominated for Best Picture.\nIt\u2019s the first time ever that a superhero film has been nominated for this\naward. Bohemian Rhapsody<\/em> is also up there with a lot of potential to\ntake an award or two. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personally, if I was invited to the Oscars, I\u2019d have to go\njust to get my gift bag.
