Not so much a boy band, but now more of a man band, Boyzone\nhave been going for 25 years \u2013 can you believe it? But all good things must\ncome to an end, and so the 25th<\/sup> Anniversary and Farewell Arena Tour\nmarks the end of this particular era. The tour visits Belfast\u2019s SSE Arena on\nJanuary 23rd<\/sup> and is set to be pretty spectacular for all those lucky\nenough to get tickets as the boys go out on a high note. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the beginning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was way back in 1993 that Louis Walsh advertised for\nIrish musicians to audition for a position in a new band that would rival Take\nThat. With a tour of pubs and clubs across Northern Ireland, it wasn\u2019t long\nbefore Boyzone became well known, and the subsequent album and single releases\nall hit the charts. By the end of the decade, despite their huge success,\ntensions were growing within the group and a split was inevitable, with several\nband members pursuing solo careers. However, the band eventually reformed,\ntouring again in 2008. With the sad and sudden death of band member Stephen\nGately in 2009, the focus of the group changed, but they didn\u2019t stop\nperforming, releasing an album dedicated to Gately in 2010. Since then they\u2019ve\ncontinued to be popular and have a large and dedicated fan base. Their final\nalbum Thank You & Goodnight<\/em> was released late last year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band will split for good after their world tour, so\ncatch them now if you are able to as you won\u2019t get the chance again! You\u2019ll\ncertainly be in for a fantastic night, with material from their latest album as\nwell as all the old classics we know and love! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
