For the first time ever, Liverpool will play host to a UFC event. The Liverpool Echo Arena will see Stephen \u2018Wonderboy\u2019 Thompson up against Darren \u2018The Gorilla\u2019 Till in this Welterweight bout on May 27th.<\/p>\n

A truly momentous night for Liverpool <\/strong><\/p>\n

This is going to be an amazing night for Liverpool, for more reasons than one. It\u2019s the first time Liverpool has hosted the UFC Octagon, so for starters that\u2019s pretty special. But, two of the stars fighting on the 27th<\/sup> were born and raised in Liverpool. They\u2019re certainly going to get a lot of support on the night!<\/p>\n

The two Liverpudlians are #7 ranked Darren Till, and Molly McCann. Till will be fighting the welterweight No 1 Stephen Thompson over five rounds. Molly \u2018Meatball\u2019 McCann goes up against Gillian Robertson. This will be a UFC debut for McCann, but she does already hold the Cage Warriors flyweight world title so she\u2019s certainly got what it takes.<\/p>\n
