Nope, not 60mph, but 60 years of age! Who would believe it? He doesn\u2019t look a day over 59. Despite his advancing years, Des still knows how to strike a good deal, having recently sold a whopping 50 plates all at once to Lothian Bus Company. How he manages this is a mystery. Is it his natural charm and charisma? Is it the reputation of SpeedyReg that he\u2019s spent over 30 years building up to what it is today? Or perhaps it\u2019s his Scottish connections, he was born in Edinburgh you know!<\/p>\n

Want to know some fascinating facts about Des?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Of course you do! Well, you may not know it, but Des is actually an identical twin. Yes, there are two of them, which is rather a scary thought for some of us. So of course, we mustn\u2019t forget to say a big Happy Birthday to Des\u2019s brother Ian too!<\/p>\n

Des is pretty fast on his feet. He is Fermanagh’s fastest EVER marathon runner. His time of 2:47 has never been beaten. If you ever want to annoy Des, then get practising and try to beat his record.<\/p>\n

Des is pretty much a giant. Well, that might be a slight exaggeration but he is over 6ft 4\u201d tall, which is fairly tall in my book!<\/p>\n

When he\u2019s not in the office, Des grows his own fruit and vegetables. We always try our best to look incredibly pleased when he brings yet another bag full of Brussels sprouts into the office for us. We secretly wish he\u2019d take up baking cakes instead.<\/p>\n

Along with the fruit and vegetables, Des also shares his life with his lovely wife and son and his dog Max. His favourite treat is a glass of fine wine after a hard day at work.<\/p>\n
