August is pretty good for a few extra days off work isn’t it? With another Bank Holiday coming up, how will you spend it? You could spend it catching up on the housework, or get on with that DIY job you’ve been putting off. The lawn probably needs mowing, and perhaps a trip to the supermarket is on the cards?<\/p>\n

Or how about you forget all the mundane jobs and do something fun instead? You’ve got a whole extra day to enjoy, so why not do something special? Make some memories with your family and have a fab day out.<\/p>\n

There’s always something going on on Bank Holiday Monday. Check out local events and see what’s going on in your area. Get out in the car and enjoy your day. Fingers crossed we’ll have some nice weather.<\/p>\n

You’re perhaps reading this blog because you love cars. If so, how about attending a car show? There’s always so much more to see and do than just the cars, so don’t be put off thinking the rest of the family will be bored. These shows always cater for families with shows and events aimed at the younger members of our families.<\/p>\n

How about Oulton Park Gold Club Cheshire? You’ll see some impressive racing with some historic sports cars. It’s a retro themed event that’s very family friendly.<\/p>\n

Or you could have a trip out to Shewsbury Steam Rally and Classic Car Show. If you like steam engines, then this will be the perfect day out for you.<\/p>\n

There’s also loads to see at Blenheim Festival of Transport. It’s perfect for families with a model railway, children’s playground, gardens and a deer park to stroll around as well as lots of classic cars to look at too of course!<\/p>\n

Another fun day out is the Pre ’78 Classic Car Rally. This is extra special because it’s held at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, and you can enjoy unlimited steam train rides! If the kids have never been on a steam train then this is a great experience.<\/p>\n

These are just a few of the car events happening over the bank holiday weekend, there’s bound to be something near you.<\/p>\n

You may prefer a trip to the seaside, a picnic in the countryside, or just a trip out for a pub lunch with friends. Go on, make the most of the bank holiday. The housework can wait and that DIY job can certainly be put off a little longer.<\/p>\n
