With more and more people opting to purchase a nearly new vehicle instead of a brand new vehicle, what better way to hide the real age of your vehicle but with a dateless registration such as a Cheap Irish Number Plates.

With in Northern Ireland there are eight different combinations to choose from. The DVA (Northern Ireland DVLA’s counterpart) currently issue different combinations for each of the following districts:

• Armagh
• Ballymena
• Belfast
• Coleraine
• Downpatrick
• Enniskillen
• Londonderry
• Omagh

The Armagh area are currently issuing the EXZ combination for example,EXZ 4231, EXZ 1660. Once the combination reaches 9999, it will be changed to FXZ.

FRZ registrations are currently being issued in the Ballymena area, examples currently available are FRZ 6824, FRZ 6825. The FRZ combination has becoming increasingly popular with people with the surname Frazer. The next combination to be issued will be GFZ.

The current combination being issued in Belfast is NFZ, such as NFZ 5431. Perfect combination if your initials are NF, for example Nicky Fox. NFZ registrations will be replaced with OFZ when they reach 9999.

Coleraine area are currently issuing SNZ Irish registrations, for example SNZ 7205, SNZ 7250. Perfect number plates if your name is Samantha Neal, Sandra Norman. When the SNZ combination reaches 9999, it will be replaced with TNZ.

The current combination being issued in Downpatrick is UJZ, for example UJZ 2960, UJZ 2961. When the UJZ combination reaches 9999, it will be replaced with VJZ combination.

Enniskillen DVA office is currently issuing LIG combination, such as LIG 5396, LIG 5370. This combination is becoming very popular with people with the surname Liggett. The next combination it be issued in Enniskillen will be MIG.

UUI registrations are currently being issued in the Londonderry area. Once this registration reaches 9999, it will be replaced with VUI combination.

Omagh DVA office are currently issuing RHZ combinations, such as RHZ 1512,  RHZ 1513. RHZ irish registrations would be an excellent choice of Irish registration if your name is Rachael Henry, Ronnie Hunter etc. The RHZ combination will be replaced with SHZ.

The DVLA recently auctioned off over 1500 desirable number plates raising a total of £2603800 with an average sale price of £1735-87.

The plate that went for the highest price was 18 O. It’s no surprise that this went for a whopping £50,000, short plates like this are always highly sought after. Other short plates that sold for high values were 92 M which fetched £12,500, 97 N which went for £10,400 and 99 E which raised £10,100. HU11 CTY also went for a high price of £36,000. A fan of Hull City football club or just a proud resident of Hull no doubt snapped this one up. AS11 LEY, perfect for someone called Ashley, sold for £15,000.

If you missed the auction you missed out on some bargains as several great plates went unsold. X845 RAM didn’t sell, which would have been perfect for a computer geek. 555 UU is a very visually pleasing plate that also didn’t sell, neither did 48 SO. If your name is Sue you could have picked up 500 SU, and if 1990 was a memorable year for you, you could have bought 1990 S; both of these fab plates went unsold.

‘Top Gear’ presenter, journalist and broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson turns 53 today and the team at Speedy Reg feel that they should pay tribute to the motoring enthusiast who is the envy of ‘petrol heads’ across the globe having tested practically every fast moving vehicle there is. We all know Clarkson is outspoken in his opinions and has often been criticised for comments he has made in the past. His on going feud with broadcaster Piers Morgan has also been of much media interest.

The oldest tennis championship in the world has just started today in London!

Wimbledon, that attracts not only world class tennis players, celebrities and the royal family will run today until the 8th of July so if you aren’t attending you better get in the strawberries and cream and a bottle pimms to enjoy the events!

The tournament has been held at the All England Club in Wimbledon, London since 1877. It is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments, the other three Majors being the Australian Open, French Open and US Open. Wimbledon is the only Major still played on grass, the game’s original surface, which gave the game of lawn tennis its name.
