A Treat for Tennis Fans – Australian Open 2018 Starts

January 15th marks the start of the Australian Open 2018 and it runs until January 28th. Held in Melbourne Australia, you will get the chance to view the matches on TV, but you might want to record them as the times of some games are going to be a little antisocial due to the time difference between the UK and Australia.

It’s available to watch exclusively on Eurosport, so if this is a channel you don’t already have, you may want to upgrade your TV package quickly! Matches from throughout the tournament will be shown on Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2. Matches will start any time from midnight to 10am UK time. The finals will be shown at 8.30am in the UK. On Saturday 27th for the women’s final and Sunday 28th for the men’s final.

Last year’s winners, Serena Williams and Roger Federer will be back to defend their titles, but sadly Andy Murray won’t be there as he’s still suffering from a problem with his hip. Kei Nishikori will also be sitting this one out due to a wrist injury.

There’s bound to be some exciting action on the courts, and with the winners taking home a whopping £2.32m there’s a lot to play for!
